5 Ways to Stop Doubting Yourself

Well hello again,

I know that we've just met, but I want you to know that you CAN do whatever you set your mind to. Don't let the thought of failing stop you from following your dreams. Whether your dream is to own an ice cream truck or paint the next Mona Lisa, keep working for it! Beat the odds! Define yourself!

Don't let a seed of doubt grow in your mind, because once it's there it's hard to overcome it. Hard, but not impossible!

If you're doubting yourself, here are several ways to pluck that weed out of your mind.

  1. Figure out what it is that you want to work towards.
    • What is it that you want to do?
    • What are the steps that you need to take to get there?
  2. Set a goal
    • After you figure out what you want to do make daily, weekly, or yearly goals.
    • Your goal can be as small as getting out of bed every morning or as big as owning a fortune 500 company.
    • Whatever your goal is make sure that you know what will be necessary to reach it.
      • I.e. If your goal is to become a racecar driver, be sure to that you have or are able to get your driver's license.
  3. Start your day by saying positive affirmations to help keep the doubt out of your mind.
    • Positive affirmations are positive thoughts or phrases that you say to yourself daily.
      • "I CAN do this"
      • "I AM beautiful"
      • "Today IS going to be a great day"
    • Starting your day on a positive not only helps boost your self-esteem, but it also gets you started in the right direction.
    • A daily affirmation doesn't just have to be in the morning
      • You can say affirmations as much as you need to.
  4. Keep working towards your goals
    • Don't stop until you've reached your goal
  5. Remember that goals can change, and that it all right.
    • You may be in the middle of working towards a goal only to realize that it's not for you. That doesn't make you a failure, it only means that there is a bigger goal out there for you.

No one started out at the end of their journey, so even if you are stuck or you don't know what you're doing with your life, you still have time to figure it all out.

Take it one day at a time

As Always,

A
